Supreme court decision on the dissolution of the Bihar assembly..
Interesting decision..the dissolution was unconstitutional but we are going to let it stand...
Let's see what choices the Apex court had:
> Reinstate the assembly and let the horsetrading continue
> Reinstate the assembly and let the stalemate continue while the 'Buta' continues to screw up more things..
The supreme court did the most sensible thing under the circumstances. They allowed the new elections to go on which gives the people a chance to throw out some of these people who were trying to wheel and deal. At the same time, it is a severe censure of the Governor, the President and the Prime Minister. Buta must be fired immediately and the President needs to issue an apology for blatantly allowing the Governor (read stoogie) to circumvent the constitutional process. The Prime Minister should be censured by parliament for being a part of this unsavory episode.
